Root apex resection may be the last chance to save a tooth that cannot be healed through root canal treatment. The surgery is performed painlessly in just 15 minutes, during which the problematic root apex and the inflamed, infected tissue are removed.
Accurate and precise diagnosis, clear, understandable informing
Using the most modern diagnostic equipment available in our clinic, such as CBCT and digital panoramic X-rays, we can precisely determine the issue and possible solutions.
Pain-free root apex resection
During the root apex resection, we use a specially developed anesthetic designed for oral surgery procedures, which is four times stronger than traditional anesthetics, making the treatment completely pain-free.
Faster and safer recovery
After the root apex resection, we provide a free Safe Laser treatment, which has pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. It also stimulates the body’s self-healing abilities, significantly reducing recovery time.
How is the root apex resection performed at our clinic?
1. Free oral surgery screening
The first step is a comprehensive examination of your oral cavity using a digital panoramic X-ray (for a fee). We then thoroughly discuss the results, possible solutions, and answer any questions you may have. It is crucial for the affected tooth to be in a resting state, which we achieve through antibiotic treatment, conservative dental care, or, in certain cases, preventive oral surgery interventions.
2. Detailed information and anesthesia
The next visit involves performing the root apex resection. We will review the procedure, explaining exactly what will happen, when, and how long it will take. Then, we proceed with anesthesia. We use a modern, specially developed anesthetic that is four times stronger than traditional ones, making the treatment completely painless.

3. Pain-free root apex resection
After anesthesia, we make a small incision in the gum and painlessly remove the root apex and the infected, inflamed tissue by drilling through the bone. Finally, we thoroughly clean the surgical area. If necessary, we perform retrograde root filling. Afterward, we close the wound, and the stitches are removed after one week. The root apex resection procedure typically takes 30-45 minutes.
4. Regular post-operative check-ups after root apex resection
During the recovery period after root apex resection, we provide stitch removal and mandatory free follow-up examinations. We are available to answer any questions, and in case of urgency, we will see you promptly. Full recovery typically takes 6-12 months. Additionally, after completing the treatment plan, we offer free semi-annual check-ups. You will be notified of the upcoming appointment by email or phone.
