Compared to traditional methods, digital impressions do not involve the discomfort or sensation of nausea or gagging, as no impression material is placed in the oral cavity. Additionally, the device can be used safely even in patients with a heightened gag reflex.

Another advantage of the intraoral scanner is its speed. The device requires only 59 seconds to scan a full dental arch. The result can then be easily sent to the dental laboratory with just one click, allowing the planning process to begin immediately.
Anatomy-based, personalized planning, considering anatomical features
The intraoral scanner has been proven to create more precise and detailed images than traditional impression methods. Thanks to the technology, we can now plan with an accuracy of 10 microns, compared to the previously accepted 500 microns.
We use the 3Shape TRIOS® 4 intraoral scanner, at our clinic, which is currently the best in the world. Compared to “average” scanners, it is capable of taking significantly more photos in just a few minutes with exceptional accuracy. While less advanced devices typically take around 10 minutes, our scanner creates a digital, lifelike replica of your entire dentition and oral cavity in just 2 minutes.
How do we take digital impression?
1. Without discomfort, in just 2 minutes
During the digital impression process, you won’t experience any unpleasant sensations, as no impression material is placed in your mouth. The small head of the intraoral scanner is slowly moved inside the mouth, capturing the digital impression quickly and accurately, much like taking a photograph. After the digital impression is taken, you can immediately view the 3D image, allowing for immediate consultation.
2. Complimentary Oral Cancer Screening
Following the digital impression, we offer a complimentary comprehensive oral cancer screening and assessment, which includes an examination for lesions and gum disease. Afterward, we will review the 3D scan together and create a detailed treatment plan, which we will discuss thoroughly. This way, after the examination, you will know exactly what treatments you need.
3. No need to retake it if you lose it!
The results of your digital impression are stored in our secure database. Should you need it in the future, we will provide it to you free of charge. The results will only be handed to you personally or, with written authorization, to a family member you designate.
